COVID19 Update 3/30/20
President Trump also has us sheltering in until April 30. Ohio has 1,900 confirmed cases with 39 deaths :-( Ohio has a plan for hospital build out for capacity while we shelter in to try and slow this virus down. Area hotels, dorms and vacant buildings will be used as hospitals. Remote learning for students will continue until May 1st.
The sad part is that we in Ohio are not in the eye of the storm yet. We are in the heavy rains leading up to it!
Prayers needed that we make it through this pandemic!!

19 days later
19 days after the virus hit in Ohio we now have 25 deaths and 1,406 cases! Tata went to the store today for essential groceries... he was only allowed one pack of TP!
Happy Heavenly Birthday.
Even sheltering in doesn't stop us from celebrating your grandpa Baker's birthday! He would have been 58 years old!

Right now, we are sheltering in and only leaving the house for groceries or emergencies. All students are online and learning from home now. The reason we are sheltering in is to stop the rapid spread of the deadly virus which gives the hospitals time to take care of the sick. Plus time to build temporary hospital sites. Right now Italy is having to make the dire decision on who has the best odds to survive and treat because the virus spread too quickly...up to 600 deaths per day in their country!
President Trump had to invoke the Defense Production Act where all automakers seize making cars, retool their plants to make ventilators which are in great demand. Doctors and nurses are running out of personal protective equipment such as masks, shields, and gowns. Many are having to reuse them which would have been cause for termination just a month ago! The serious ill are in hospitals and on ventilators for up to 21 days! The lucky ones come off the ventilator make it back home.

Scary times right now...especially for our premature baby born just as this virus hit in Ohio.
Week 3- first bath
Miss Makenah is a chill baby. No crying during her bath. In fact, she only cries for a bottle...sleeps through all the noise of a house full of kids...up to 5 hour stretches on a 3ounce bottle!
Neonatal teeth!!
Makenah was born with 2 baby teeth! They are called neonatal teeth. She had to see a pediatric dentist. They say these are rooted baby teeth and Mommy needs to start brushing them!
Day 2- Progress and bath time!
Makena is doing great...now she just needs to regulate her blood sugars! Mommy was determined to get out of bed and give her a bath...even after a c-section! And Nevaeh got to see her through the NICU window!
